As much of the country has been battling the Polar Vortex, here at Sunbird Farms we’ve been enjoying what appears to be an early Spring. Of course we’d love more rain, but when you have days like we’re having, it just doesn’t seem right to complain. We thought we’d share a photo of some of our beautiful Styrian Hens. This ancient breed is likely one of the oldest breeds in Europe, and dates at least back to the 13 century. They are really wonderful to look at and were out enjoying the pasture in our orchards today. It was the essence of bucolic day at Sunbird Farms. Stay tuned as we share more about some new arrivals to the farm.
