Our Name In Print… Sunbird Farms Gets a Mention in the Wall Street Journal

Sunbird Farms Wall Street Journal

A Big Day for Sunbird Farms

Well, if you haven’t seen this on the ten other places we’ve posted it, we are delighted to share that Sunbird Farms had its first mention ever in the December 27th, 2014, issue of the Wall Street Journal.  A very nice article on heritage chicken and the gourmet food industry.  Thanks to our friend Matt Kronsberg at the Wall Street Journal for taking time to interview us…we’re forever grateful!

Awesome article Brice, actually both articles. Egg law going to be interesting as to how that pans out. Can you just imagine egg cop comes into Raleys and removes all Illegal eggs. Too crazy.

Judging from some of the comments in WSJ people don’t yet appreciate the value of better chicken yet. You are definitely leading edge on this one.

Speaking of eggs how are the Pita Pintas doing as far as winter layers? Did you get any started incubating? Are they developing?

I’m trying again on my few that lay in the winter hoping to get more winter layers. Also to recheck temperature on incubator before buying some of the Pita Pintas from you. Seems it was too hot last hatch.

    Happy New Year.

Pete… thanks so much for the comment, always good to hear from you. The Pita Pintas are going strong, laying lots of beautiful eggs right through the summer. We’ve got a small batch in the incubator, and they’re showing great fertility and development. If things keep going this way, they will likely make up a significant amount of our egg-laying flock in the future. Looking forward to getting some to you before too long. Happy New Year to you!
      Best,
      Brice
